The Torpedo Duo: 300g for calm, shallower marks; 400g to punch through current and hold deep. Two conditions. One bag.

$104.98 at regular retail$84.99 in the Duo.

Calm water and ripping current aren't the same conditions. They shouldn't be the same jig.

When the marks are up around 300 feet and the water's calm, that's the Torpedo 300g. The squid profile is small enough to cut straight through the water column, so it stays vertical instead of scoping out. About a gram per foot, dialed for the shallower window where a heavier jig just feels dead in your hand.

When the fish push deep, the current picks up, and you need to put a jig on a specific number, that's the Torpedo 400g. The extra weight punches straight down through heavy current and holds bottom where the 300g gets shoved off the mark. While lighter jigs drift sideways and fish nothing, the 400 is already in the zone and standing straight up.

Both jigs match the squid the bluefin feed on at depth, in the same Blue Pink UV Glow finish that charges under deck lights and fires up like a bioluminescent squid from 150 to 400 feet down. Carrying both weights means you're covered when the conditions shift mid-trip, and they always do.

  • Battle-tested in San Diego. Fished on the San Diego overnight and multi-day boats before it ever went on sale.
  • Shaped like their bait. Torpedo bodies matched to the squid bluefin feed on at depth, not a generic baitfish.
  • Torpedo shape, straight drop. A small profile that cuts through the water column, so both jigs stay vertical instead of scoping out.
  • One gram per foot. 300g for the 150-300 ft window, 400g for 200-400 ft. Two weights, one depth system, no gap between them.
  • UV Glow Stripes. Charge under deck lights, hold visible color at depth where the fish hunt by silhouette.
  • Two sets of 6/0 BKK assist hooks + split rings included, a $27.98 value. Both jigs rigged and ready to fish out of the box.

Common Questions

What's in the Torpedo Duo?
One Torpedo 300g and one Torpedo 400g, both lead, both Blue Pink UV Glow, both rigged with 6/0 BKK heavy-duty assist hooks and split rings. Two depth zones in one bag, nothing else to buy.

Why lead instead of tungsten if tungsten is denser?
Cost. Tungsten prices spiked in 2026 and I didn't want to pass that on to you. I designed the Torpedo to mimic what my tungsten jigs did: small profile, fast straight drop. The torpedo shape gets that out of lead, so it stays vertical without needing tungsten's density.

How is this different from the Moon Drop or Tungsten Tiger?
Different bait story and different price point. Torpedo imitates squid through shape, not density. It's the accessible option, not a replacement for the tungsten line.

What rod and line should I run these on?
100 lb braid with a 200 lb fluorocarbon bite leader. That's what I fish them on for bluefin, yellowfin, and yellowtail on deep night drops.

Does it ship free?
Yes. Free US shipping kicks in at 2 jigs or more, and the Duo is 2 jigs, so it always ships free. Orders go out of California, USPS Ground 2-5 business days.

What if it's not right for me?
